Abstract

Aim: The aim of this article is to present the development of democracy over the centuries that took place in today's Europe, the stages of democracy from direct to representative, as well as an analysis of the development of democracy in the Greek state and its development of democracy. The development of democracy in other countries such as France and Great Britain was also indicated. A complicated evolution of creating democratic processes that took place and are taking place in order for a given system to function is described.
Conclusions: The value of this study lies in the general analysis of the individual stages of creating democracy and the characteristics of the offices they dealt with processing and overseeing democratic elections, courts, decisions and judgments.
